we just returned from disney world and it was pretty amazing. the girls still have pixie dust dancing in their locks and we are still not yet unpacked - and i am heading back out in hours to pick up my amy liz from the airport for a drive upstate to see danzig tomorrow night. whew. but as i reflect on the last 12 days - they were - for a lack of a better term, pretty magical. the more time i spend with our incredible family, the more i am acutely aware of how blessed we are. i grew up in a very nuclear environment - our extended family was so spread out making it difficult to see each other on a regular basis. now - with so many of us on the east coast - and a realization about how much {especially our children} want and need each other, we are making the memories that i only dreamed of as a child. seeing my brother's family, my sister's family and den's sister's family this last week allowed for 12 cousins to chase, laugh, horseplay, sing, draw, and love each other - magical.
in shop news - i missed the shops anniversary once again! oops! so from today until 8 november - there is a sale to celebrate the belated anniversary of fieryeyed with all prints marked down to $20 and free shipping - enjoy ;) and after wavering back and forth for sometime, i have decided that the holiday shop will indeed open this year! watch for calendars, bookmarks, journals and new prints on 10 november.
much love...

my nieces had breakfast with cinderella while there this summer - a memory they will treasure always. isn't it wonderful when family can press together beautiful memories like this together? it helps us through the times that other memories are not so great.

I grew up with the family you have described and it is truly special and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
It's great that your girls will have their cousins closer by now. :)

Thank you for your lovely blog. I can't wait to order a print. I'm so inspired by your art wall collection around and above your tv area.
It makes me want to have my own little gallery on a blank wall. This post hits home with me.. My family is so spread out, it is so hard to get together. I'm in San Francisco, they are on the East Coast. It is so hard. You truly are blessed.
