hello there. we should be in north carolina right now. but i have decided to embrace where fate has led us - through a round of under the weather babies and hubby, we decided to stay put. tonight will be take out and some much anticipated cartoon specials, maybe even a slumber party in the living room under newly hung twinkle lights. tomorrow morning: homemade pancakes and the macy's day parade - an early and leisurely turkey dinner - and little to no reason to change out of our pajamas.
so i am thankful for perspective. the realization that not everything can go to plan, and sometimes that's okay;
i am thankful for my girls who every single moment, remind me that love and patience is the ultimate gift;
i am thankful for my husband - whose patience for my over compulsive tendencies {among other flaws} seems endless;
i am thankful for my parents - my brother and sisters - my wonderful extended family - our trials, our journey, our love;
i am thankful for my friends whose love and support stretches across miles of country;
i am thankful for the generosity and welcoming arms of new friends;
i am thankful for this beautiful country and those who sacrifice their lives for it;
i am thankful for the sun, the rain, the wind, the moon and the stars;
i am thankful for the rare oppotunity afforded to us to follow our dreams and rasise our young children in the most incredibale city on earth.
have a beautiful holiday - i am thankful for you.
