it's here! super-charged smoothies from chronicle books is now available and i would love to treat one reader to a copy. simply leave a comment about your favorite pick-me up - what recharges you? i loved working with the team at chronicle and of course the amazing authors, Mary Corpening Barber and Sara Corpening Whiteford - the inspiring women who wrote the book and run d'lush. i not only photographed the book, i prop and food styled each shot as well - as such i was able to taste every drink on the shot list and o.m.g. - delish!! i can not recommend the blueberry brain boost and goji greatness enough!
in other news - i promise to update you on what's going on this week - i am in another head space - another reason i am asking what recharges you - i need to recharge! ;)

Smoothies are one of my favorite healthy treats. Looks like a great book. The thing that recharges me is stretching and doing yoga.

listening to some good music, making a really good smoothie on a hot day, a long bike ride, a hot cup of tea, or eating strawberry soy yogurt with bananas and granola in it (yum).

a lovely hot bubble bath with just a few candles and zero 7 playing in the background while sipping on white wine... and it would be even more perfect if it was raining.

My Recharges (in approximate order of effectiveness): 1. Running, esp in a beautiful place, in full sun, and up a hill. At the top of the hill I can run down, and in picking up speed, I pick up energy! 2. Napping. A big one. 3. Listening to Irish jigs at a very loud volume. 4. Cleaning. Once things are clean and I put a little sweat into cleaning, I feel refreshed and ready to be productive.
Thanks! Have a great week everybody!

my rechargers: (long list)
nibbling on semi-sweet baking chocolate, sipping a really cold glass of water or a cup of hot jazmine tea, playing with puppies, a good thrifting day, a weekend away (of course), playing outside, going for a long drive on our country roads, snuggling, listing to my little girls giggles, laying in the grass all afternoon and gardening.

the unsolicited company/help of my husband in various chores i dread when i'd rather be messing in the vegetable garden or coming up with new knitted lovelies. fresh like a quiet and cool spring morning. i treasure both! (and things get done twice as fast!)

5 hour energy, it's crazy I know, but it does work. Also a shot of Bushmills gives me a big charge.

A walk on the beach and/or fresh fruit are a wonderful recharger for me. Also painting, pilates, and yoga. Beautiful captures... thanks for sharing.
