nectar & light is featured in the new summer issue of artful blogging.  i was excited to be contacted by the magazine and was asked to write about a personal blogging experience - those of you who have read nectar & light for some time will remember the emotional roller coaster that was our decision to move to italy, then our subsequent choice to wait.  it was an experience i continue to reflect upon and learn from - this is the story that i chose to share with the artful blogging readers.  if you are unfamiliar with the magazine itself, it is a lovely publication and full of inspiration and beauty.

one:  you are the most loving little creature i have ever beheld.  your hugs, kisses, and snuggles warm the very depths of me and your sincerity and love for your sisters often moves me to tears.

two:  one of my very favorite things in the whole world is to wind my fingers in your tiny little curls... it makes me sigh every time.

three:  your infectious giggles and silly faces are the light at the end of our long days... you never fail to make us laugh with you and delight in your little world... thank you ayla eve and happy birthday ayla baby, happy birthday to you.

hello friends.  i know it seems as if i have been away a lot - life is getting the better of me, and in truth, for that i am truly blessed.  i am turing 34 on saturday {ugh - such a number} and am taking some time to breath over the next few days - and enjoying what i hope to be an amazing show tonight.  i do have a few things for you:

~ thank you for all of the continued interest in the photo trade.  work is crazy for me right now so the monthly trade is not something i will be able to bring back soon.  however, i do plan a summer trade and a holiday trade - details on the summer trade will be posted next month.

~ i have been missing my food posts and hope to bring them back in the coming weeks ... 

~ and just wanted to share my excitement that wolfmother is back in the studio - they have posted their new single here.  oh - and the new bat for lashes{!!!}

hello friends - i apologize for the disappearing act this last week - but there is a rather exciting reason why.  i have been hired by chronicle books to shoot their upcoming title 'super-charged smoothies'.  this week was a whirlwind of blenders humming, fruit stained cutting boards, more glassware than ikea and straws of every imaginable shade as my preliminary shots were due to the designer on friday.  i hope you had a lovely week and i will check in next week...
