one of the highlights to our trip was a quiet afternoon my girlfriend chrissy and i spent at the dushanbe tea house in boulder. if you happen through, this is a must-do. the experience is nothing short of exquisite.
some love this week:
~ andy from portal films just sent me one of his new pieces. i am at a loss for the proper words to convey what his work does to me - it moves me to another time, another place in which magic resides - in which love is the only thing that ever matters and beauty strolls hand in hand with the soft sweet sun. one of the things that strikes me most about this piece {besides that dress - oh my goodness that dress} is the music - i love the way it swells with the unabated breezes... a work of art; *edited to add: mandy sent me the link to her film that andy took - it was actually the first piece of his work i had seen - it remains to be one of my favorites - you can see it here.
~ i am loving the photographs by sarah herman;
~ i have been waiting months to download this & this - i am so happy the time has finally arrived;
~ the perfect valentine was a piece from this amazing line;
~ the gorgeous film images of sandra's home are killing me - in a heartachingly delightful way.
enjoy the afternoon...

Wow- I can't believe you know Andy... he did our wedding back in April and it is just timeless for us. He captured the true essence of peace and love. Here is the link to watch ours in case you're interested. We took our immediate family to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. (We live in Sulphur Springs, TX)

Jen, I can't even begin to say how much I love what the guy at Portal films does. He also uses the work of one of my absolute favorite composers (Max Richter) and that music just sinks into the deepest regions of the heart...coupled with the film...it can be overwhelming. I don't know how watching these films of such deep joy can also invoke a deep sense of heartache. But, it does for me! Thanks for sharing Mandys - it's stunning. I've watched the other two...but that was IS just amazing...the LIGHT!!!

I love dushanbe tea house! My mom and I regularly drive about an hour to get there and enjoy lunch and tea on the weekends. There is nothing like spending a lovely afternoon on their patio.
