I love your November 26th post about what you're thankful for. I love the thankfulness in small things and thought your list was so beautifully written. And, as always, the header photo rocked.

happy, happy birthday!! my absolute favorite post was in may about your brother's deployment. two of my three brothers are in the military and both deployed this year. I know firsthand, what it's like to see them graduate high school as boys and come back from being overseas, and it's like they're 10 years older. thank god he is safe!!

oh jen, happy blog anniversary!

It's rather difficult to pick one post from your blog as each of them have touched me in a special way, but I must say the one that really stays strong in my mind was your november 11, 2008 post titled 'remembering'. Your photographs on this post are absolutely breathtaking, and then to read that once upon a time you served your country - I was speechless. It was something I didn't know about you and would never have guessed. Your account of this part of your life made my heart melt.

Thank you for sharing your world with us.

xx

This post is my favorite, cause it gives me a slight chance to own some of your amazing photographs!

I love your photography! I've been following for a while, but I haven't commented yet. So, hi.

My favorite post is from September 4th about the end of summer. I love fall... there's something magical about when the air turns colder, you pull on a sweater and look at the golden leaves. I loved the way you phrased it all... I could feel the magic when I read that post.

my favorite would have to be your July 30th post titled "bittersweet". being a mother myself that entry really touched my heart. looking forward to another year of beautiful blog posts.

My favourite was just a few days ago - "Nothing is Impossible". I'm a sucker for good news, and I love polaroid. Your blog was where I first heard the good news. :) Happy Anniversary!

My favorite post was the Happy Mother's Day (a bit early) posted on May 9th. When you asked the question what our favorite posts were, I immediately thought of this particular post. I was struck first and foremost that the photo in the picture (although of you) seemed to fit in with the themes of your other photographs. Also, your words were so sweet and kind. I am not a mother myself, yet, but I know that when the time comes, I hope to have similar sentiments. Although romantic, I know at the end of the day, these are the goals that every mother would feel. It may be tough, harsh and unrewarding a lot of the time but in the end it is a gift like no other. Thank you for your inspiring words, photographs, calendar (gift from a friend) and recipes. I always feel at peace when I read your posts and view your amazing work.

I really like the one of the little girl in the thick jersey holding a pumpkin that you had written "I'm grateful for..." on.

Happy Birthday to your blog and congrats on the accomplishment! May the next year be just as great!

i read through every single post and still have trouble deciding. i suppose my favorite would have to be your 1/17/09 post, "nothing is impossible," because it's brimming with excitement and joy. i heard the news from you first and it brought the biggest smile to my face. even if it hadn't been about polaroid, i'm sure i would have been smiling anyway, because your writing and pictures make happiness so contagious.

I love food.. and photography. So I am partial to the recipe posts... one of my faves: "Back to It"

I don't remember how I found your blog, but mine was started around the same time after months of reading others' blogs and getting the courage and the material with which to start my own.

This is my favorite post of all. All of your daughters are beautiful in their own right, but this image consistently reaffirmed my desire to have my own children (my body willing), even though they are at each stage such a short time.

Congratulations on a successful year! (and lots of fun with the Photo Trade)

Your post bittersweet spoke to me with such honest words. Definitely a favorite.

Happy first birthday! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs and thought with us. Your work is such an inspiration to me and it is so hard for me to pick a favorite post... that being said, I do love the post "sometimes no words are needed"

My favorite post... almost a year ago. January 29th...
I feel in love with those soft purple colors and knew I needed an SX70 immediately. I had always wanted one, but these really sold me. I found mine on Ebay that night.
Thank you for a year of inspiration!

So impossible to pick a favorite, but I am going to say 'Bittersweet' on July 30th because it makes me cry with happiness.

I recently found your blog, after becoming obsessed with my polaroid myself... I love your work. LOVE IT. I loved your post on Friday, 10 October 2008, with the Apple Butter on the window sill... reminds me of my childhood.

As a neighbor to the north in SD, it's been a delight to be reminded of all the great, talented and creative people working and making lives in the upper midwest.

Thanks for the inspiration, images and imagination, Jennifer, and best wishes on your anniversary. May you enjoy many, many more!

PS - heart the Omaha guide :-)

I just recently discovered your truly amazing blog and as others have said, it's hard to pick just one. The ones you post about your mom strike a chord. As a mom to a 20-year-old daughter currently studying in london (and missing her!), I love that you think your mom is cool and your recent post (12/8) on 'a good day' has such a wonderful feel and tone. I could stare all day at the image of the brunch table with that lovely soft diffused light, the casually laid sunglasses and table setting all ready to be filled with delicious things, laughter and love.

Love, LOVE your Veteran's Day post - the pictures of England are fabulous and it means alot to me because I had a younger brother recently return from Iraq. Having a loved one in danger brings alot of things into perspective. I'm immensely grateful as well to all those who have sacrificed their lives or precious time to be with their own families to willingly serve our country.
My fingers are crossed for your lovely glicees....your work is fabulous!

I loved the recent post of your daughter in the dunce cap. I thought it was very funny and I wondered what your conversation must have been with your daughter. "I need you to put on this dunce cap and sit in the corner, but you are not in trouble...promise!!" I love reading your blog and lingering over the amazing pictures. Congrats on turning ONE!
